ANFF-SA Microengineering School program

ANFF-SA’s FREE four-day program (8 x lectures | 8 x practical sessions | 7 x Insight sessions) provides students, researchers, academics and industry with a fascinating introduction to the design and fabrication of microfluidic/electronic, MEMS, optical and sensing chips. This experience is ideal for people interested in engineering microscopic devices used in new world technologies.

Delivered onsite at UniSA’s Future Industries Institute, in Mawson Lakes, (and online for those who are interstate or overseas) ANFF-SA's Microengineering School includes insightful presentations and practicals delivered by industry leaders and technical experts who introduce ANFF-SA’s design, fabrication and testing capabilities.

There are no pre-requisites for participating in the program which covers photolithography, design for photolithography, etching, PDMS devices, microelectrodes, characterisation techniques, simulation, electrical integration, and 3D printing.

Onsite participants can experience hands-on practicals using cutting-edge equipment housed in world-class cleanroom facilities, while lectures, insight sessions and industry tours provide opportunities to engage directly with industry leaders and technical experts for career insights.

Together with ANFF-SA's team of highly skilled technicians, ANFF-SA Microengineering School is proud to present a stellar line up industry experts and special guests:

  • A/Prof Craig Priest - ANFF-SA Director, Future Industries Institute, UniSA
  • A/Prof Colin Hall, Foundation Fellow, UniSA

IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Summit 2022

To all female-identifying members of our community, don’t miss the 2022 IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Summit, happening on August 4-5th at Monash University (Melbourne)

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is a global network of IEEE members and volunteers dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering and science.

Join our Leadership Summit to network with your peers and hear from experts in our field regarding the following topics:

  • Rethinking work; Flexibility and Engagement in a post-pandemic world
  • Executive Leadership and Entrepreneurship
  • Career Transitions and Challenges for women
  • Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion – Beyond (Just) Women in Engineering

A detailed program can be found here.

Registration is open until July 31st on the conference website. Scholarships to support free attendance at the event are available for IEEE Member early-career engineers working at universities or non-profit organisations.

We are looking forward to see you at the Summit

ICB-REV 2022

The National Battery Research Institute (NBRI) in collaboration with the Queen Mary University of London, Material Research Society Indonesia (MRS-INA), and International Union of Material Research Societies (IUMRS) will organize The International Conference on Battery for Renewable Energy for Electric Vehicles (ICB-REV) 2022 that will be conducted online on 21 – 23 June, 2022.
